“Our story” is a simple one. It dates back to the mid 1950’s and a humble start as a small stamping house located in Youngstown, Ohio. In those days Youngstown was really a “Steel Town”, halfway between Cleveland, Ohio and Pittsburgh, PA in the “Steel Valley”. Manufacturing was growing in the North- East and the decision was made to move away from “Stamping” and into “Shearing” and “Supplying” steel.
Over the decades, more shears, cut to length lines, multi-blanking lines and locations have been added but one thing has never changed: “GLS” since the 50’s known as “Rowan Stamping” or the 70’s & 80’s known as “Geneva Steel Blanking” to the present, has always been about “Service”. We’ve become known as a company that’s flexible, that listen’s to our customers and works hard to make purchasing steel easier. Whether you’re an OEM or Metal Fabricator, Large or Small, your business is important to us. Youngstown Ohio is still melting steel. In fact it’s revitalizing and we’re doing are part too.
